Osaka: The old-world beauty of downtown “HOZENJI YOKOCHO”
|Hozenji Yokocho is located in the busiest spot of Osaka, Namba (near the famous neon billboard), the history of the area dates back to Edo period (1603-1868). Hozenji Yokocho is named after, the Jodo (Pure Land) sect., Hozen ji(temple). About 60 of small food shops, cafes and restaurants are lined on the both side of stone-paved 80 meters Yokocho (street). It’s originated from the street stalls who did business with visitors of the temple.|
|Ukiyo koji is the most elongate path next to Hozenji Yokocho in Osaka, and it’s a museum which re-creates old days Dotonbori.
Those spots are quiet place in the busiest area.
